A couple of words from your future executive assistant

My name is Linda Smith, and I am currently working as an Assistant at [Current Employer] in Tampa. I have been with my current employer for six years – a time which has offered exciting opportunities and professional growth.

I do, however, feel that the time has come for me to look for new challenges and take the next step in my career. For this reason, I was delighted to read about the Executive Assistant position at [Company Name].

I’m convinced that this job would suit me well and that I, in turn, would be a great fit for the job.

I would like to highlight three main qualities that I believe make me the right person for this position.

The first would be my experience. During my six years at [Current Employer], I was able to cultivate my interest in manage information flows and act as the point of contact. This, in turn, allowed me to develop new skills in this area – skills that I would like to hone further, as a member of your team at [Company Name]. Furthermore, I feel that my experience in customer care and organizing has contributed significantly to my overall development.

Secondly, I would like to highlight the fact that my educational background meets the requirements you have for the executive assistant position. I have attended several Assistant courses during my years in my current job. I also make it a priority to stay up to date on the topics related to my field of work.

Last, but certainly not least, I think that my personal traits and abilities make me the right person for this job. I tend to feel empathy toward the people around me, and am interested in exploring perspectives different from my own, and I know that my ability to easily adjust and course-correct when the situation so requires has been appreciated by my previous employers.

Furthermore, I am communicative and socially skilled in my professional role.

I hope that this brief presentation has given you an idea of who I am, and what I can bring to [Company Name]. I feel strongly that I would be able to meet your expectations, and look forward to being called to an interview so that I might introduce myself further.

Sincerely,

Linda
