Teo + [Company Name] = A very good idea

Working as a business analyst at [Current Employer] has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. I have learned a great deal about the mining industry and have met many interesting people along the way. I have always known that it would take an extraordinary opportunity for me to consider leaving my current job to take on a new challenge.

My name is Teo Lopez and I’m writing to let you know that I am a perfect fit for the position as business analyst at [Company Name].

I believe that I am the perfect fit for you!

There are many reasons for this, but I would like to emphasize the following:

First and foremost, I know that my previous work experiences have given my the knowledge and skills required to be able to handle and learn the tasks that are essential to the business analyst position. Aside from providing me with the tools to handle the challenges any company in the mining industry might face, my work as a business analyst at [Current Employer] has also allowed me to explore my interest in evaluating business processes and developing and implementing solutions. Furthermore, I have gained experience in recommend solutions for improving and restructuring company procedures, which I believe would be very useful when working as a business analyst.

Secondly, I would like to highlight my education. I have a Bachelor’s degree in business from University of North Carolina and Chapel Hill. Aside from gaining the requisite knowledge taught in my classes, I also feel that I have really developed my ability to learn and integrate new skills and information quickly.

Last, but perhaps most importantly, I believe that my personal qualities and abilities are a good match for what you at [Company Name] look for in an employee. The people I have worked with would probably describe me as sociable, conceptual and financially adept. I have often had use for my natural sense of calm, and I am a person has a natural aptitude for analyzing and interpreting numbers.

I hope that this brief presentation has given you small taste of who I am, and what I can bring to your team. I also hope that I will be given the opportunity to meet you for an interview, so that I may give you an even better idea of why I am the right person for you.

Best regards,

Teo Lopez

How did we create this cover letter?

The examples in this list are created in our Cover Letter Generator, which you find here. The structure behind these texts is the proven rhetoric disposition that was invented in ancient Greece more than 2000 years ago. They say wine gets better with age, well, that doesn’t really go for the rhetoric disposition. It was brilliant in the beginning, and it is still brilliant.

Its main parts are the following:

a) Introduction
Spark your reader’s curiosity! Write something that makes the recipient remember you and want to continue reading.

b) Background
What is it that made you want you want to do what you do? What are you currently working on? What are you looking for?

c) The statement of the case
Your statement is, of course, that you are the perfect match for the job.

d) Argumentation
This is your time to shine. Describe why you are perfect for the role. Adapt the text to the most important parts of the job described in the ad. Try to find examples of what you’ve done that prove that you meet the specific requirements.

e) The conclusion
You have the opportunity to be creative here – feel free to finish up with a “call-to-action”, that they really should meet with you. It could also be a brief summary or any other creative idea that you come up with, something that makes the recipient want to take the next step with you.
