1.1 General information about Cowrite's processing of personal data

Visitors and Customers consent to personal data being processed in accordance with these terms and Cowrite's privacy policy in connection with visits to, and use of, the Website, the registration of an account, registration in the Service, the purchase of services, and when contacting us (by email).

Cowrite is the data controller for personal data submitted in connection with the use of the Service or otherwise registered when the account is created. Where necessary, Cowrite may also supplement the information in connection with customer matters.

1.2 Types of personal data

When registering an account, using the Service and purchasing services, the Customer is asked to enter or provide information that may constitute personal data. Personal data collected and processed by Cowrite is handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679) and other applicable law.

Such personal data may include, but is not limited to:

  • name
  • telephone number
  • company registration number
  • email address
  • login credentials

1.3 Purpose and scope of Cowrite's processing of personal data

Personal data is processed by Cowrite in order to create tailored texts within the Service. The personal data may also form the basis for Cowrite's customer surveys, business and method development, as well as for statistics and risk management.

Cowrite may also use the data for marketing purposes, such as sending newsletters and offers to the Customer, unless the Customer has objected to such marketing.

For participants in the Swedish Public Employment Service's (Arbetsförmedlingen) programmes "Stöd och Matchning" (Support and Matching) or "Kundval Rusta och Matcha" (Customer Choice Prepare and Match), personal data may be shared with the User's job coach/advisor when the User enters their job coach's/advisor's email address in the Service, as well as for invoicing purposes with the matching company to which the job coach belongs and which has provided access to the service for the User. The same applies to participants who have received access to the service via their trade union, their professional association or their career transition fund.

The personal data that Cowrite collects about Visitors and Customers is processed by Cowrite and other companies with which Cowrite cooperates, for the purpose of preparing and performing the service, carrying out requested actions, or fulfilling obligations that may follow from law or regulation.

1.4 Storage of personal data

Cowrite will retain the personal data of Orderers, Users and Customers, as well as personal data concerning contact details of private individuals that have been provided to Cowrite via partners.

Personal data is stored only for as long as the User has an active account with Cowrite. If an account has not been used for 6 months, it is considered inactive, whereupon Cowrite deletes the data. The User is notified of this two weeks before deletion.

If a User requests that their personal data be deleted, the personal data is first de-identified for 30+30 days, after which it is deleted from Cowrite's servers. This is to ensure any customer invoicing based on usage.

If no customer relationship is established, no personal data is stored.

1.5 Rights of the data subject

A private individual who is a Visitor or Customer has the right to obtain information about the personal data concerning the Visitor or Customer that is processed by Cowrite, and where necessary to request rectification of data, that personal data be erased, or that the processing of personal data be restricted.

The Customer also has the right to data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of the Visitor's/Customer's personal data with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

A request for any of the above rights shall be submitted in writing to:

The request must be signed and include a copy of identification. The signed request together with a copy of identification may also be scanned and sent by email to info@cowrite.com.

1.6 Cookies

The Website uses cookies and tags so that the Website functions optimally and so that all content is displayed correctly. A cookie is a text file sent from Cowrite's web server and stored in the Visitor's browser or device.

Cowrite also uses cookies for overall analytical information regarding Visitors' use of Cowrite's products, in order to save functional settings, and to be able to target relevant news and offers to Users.
