Service-minded and quality-conscious head waitress ready for new challenges

My name is Ashley Scott, and I’ve been working as a head waitress at [Restaurant] in New York City for five years. It’s been a gratifying job where I’ve been in a position to grow over the years, but I am not the type to turn down a new challenge.

When I read about the position as restaurant manager at [Restaurant], it piqued my interest right away. The position, as described, offers exactly the kind of challenge I’ve been looking for.

I believe I am just the right person for you!

There are many reasons for this, but I would like to emphasize the following:

First and foremost, I know that my previous work experiences have given my the knowledge and skills required to be able to handle and learn the tasks that are essential to the restaurant manager position. Aside from providing me with the tools to handle the challenges any company in the restaurant business might face, my work as a head waitress at [Restaurant] has also allowed me to explore my interest in managing daily operations and have a financial oversight. Furthermore, I have gained experience in customer care, scheduling and leadership, which I believe would be very useful when working as a restaurant manager.

Secondly, I would like to highlight my education. I have an Associate degree in business administration from Boston College. Aside from gaining the requisite knowledge taught in my classes, I also feel that I have really developed my ability to learn and integrate new skills and information quickly.

Finally, I know that my personal qualities and abilities make me well suited for this role. I am a natural leader with the ability to motivate others and facilitate cooperation, and I have a natural ability and desire to serve others. The people I have worked with would probably also describe me as quality-conscious, straightforward and self-reliant.

I hope that this brief presentation has given you an idea of who I am, and what I can bring to [Restaurant]. I feel strongly that I would be able to meet your expectations, and look forward to being called to an interview so that I might introduce myself further.
