My name is Richard Rogers and I am currently a nursing major at University of Warwick. I am now looking for a job where I can use everything I’ve learned during the course of my education, while getting the chance to further hone my skills and learn a proper profession. With this in mind, I was very excited to read about the available position as nurse at [Company Name].
I’m convinced that this job would suit me well and that I, in turn, would be a great fit for the job.
I believe there are several factors that indicate that I would be the right person to contribute to your future success.
First of all, I have the relevant work experience for the position. In addition to my studies, I currently work as a sales assistant at [Former Employer]. During the two years I have been at this job, I have learned a great deal. Not only about sales and service, but also about retail in general. Among other past experiences, I have also worked as receptionist at [Former Employer].
Secondly, I would like to emphasize my education. As I mentioned, I will be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Warwick in the near future. Aside from the knowledge I have acquired during my studies, I have also learned how to quickly and efficiently take in and make use of new information.
Last, but certainly not least, I think that my personal traits and abilities make me the right person for this job. I am generally able to put myself in other people’s shoes, and I know that my ability to easily adjust and course-correct when the situation so requires has been appreciated by my previous employers.
Furthermore, I am communicative, and service-minded in my professional role.
I hope that this brief presentation has given you an idea of who I am, and what I can bring to [Company Name]. I feel strongly that I would be able to meet your expectations, and look forward to being called to an interview so that I might introduce myself further.
Sincerely,
Richard
